About this piece

Brown leaf shapes on white cotton — earthy and grounded, the leaves carry that warm cinnamon-brown tone that sits comfortably against skin in any light. The pattern is generous in scale, the leaves filling the cloth with a relaxed, all-over coverage.

The brown dye settled differently in different parts of the cloth — slightly richer where it pooled at the wax edges, a little lighter where it spread thin. The leaves aren't perfect outlines; they're records of a brush and a hand and a moment in a workshop.
