How an exchange works

1. Email us the sizeWithin 24 hours of delivery, with your order number
2. We confirmUsually within 24 working hours, subject to stock
3. Pay Rs 250 per pieceUsing the button below
4. We swap it overPickup where serviceable, then the new size goes out

Write to thekaftanshopindia@gmail.com with your order number and the size you need. We will confirm whether that size is available and whether your pincode is serviceable for a reverse pickup. Where it is not, the piece will need to be sent back to us at your own cost, and should reach us within about 7 days of the original delivery date. The whole process usually takes around 7 to 15 days, though this depends on the courier at both ends.

Common questions

What if the size I need is not available?

If we are unable to offer the size you need, our returns terms will apply instead, and we will talk you through it.

Can I exchange for a different design or colour?

Exchanges are for size only. If you would like something different altogether, please look at our returns policy.

Can I exchange the same piece twice?

No. Once a piece has been exchanged it cannot be returned or exchanged again, so do please check the size guide carefully before confirming the new size.

What condition does the piece need to be in?

Unused and unworn, with no visible signs of wear, washing, alteration, stains or odour, and returned in its original packing with all tags still attached. If it does not reach us in that condition we will not be able to complete the exchange.

Why is there a Rs 250 charge?

Reverse pickup and re-delivery courier charges are high, and this goes towards the two-way courier cost of collecting the original piece and sending the new size out to you. It is charged per piece and is payable before we begin the exchange.

I bought this at a pop-up or exhibition.

Pieces bought in person at our pop-ups and exhibitions cannot be exchanged or returned online.

I am ordering from outside India.

We are not able to offer exchanges, returns or refunds on orders shipped outside India. Please do check the size guide carefully before ordering. If your order arrives damaged, is faulty, or is not what you ordered, write to us at thekaftanshopindia@gmail.com within 24 hours of receiving it, with photographs, and we will do our best to help.
