About this piece
Deep green blocks across white cotton — the green is rich and full, and the block shapes create a clean geometric structure that contrasts with the more organic floral and dotted designs in the range. On a night gown, the pattern reads as deliberately considered.
The blocks were wax-outlined individually before the fabric was dyed, each one a separate area of protection. The slight variation in the white space between them — some gaps slightly wider, some narrower — is the product of the hand rather than the machine, and it's what keeps the geometry from feeling rigid.
