About this piece
Blue blocks across white cotton — the blue is clear and confident, and the block pattern gives the design a modern, structured feel. The large wax-resist areas create bold blue shapes with clean white ground between them, making this one of the more graphic pieces in the night gown range.
At the edges of each block, where the wax line was applied thickest, the blue sits cleanly against the white. Where the wax thinned slightly, the colour crept under just a fraction — those small imprecisions are what make the boundary between colour and ground feel alive rather than printed.
