About this piece

Pink body with a triangle border — the softness of the pink ground meets the crisp geometry of the triangle hem design, and the contrast between the two makes the piece feel more considered than a plain-dyed kaftan.

The border triangles run in a continuous row, point-to-point, all the way around the hem. Each was drawn individually in wax — which means the artisan held the spacing in their head rather than measuring it out. The rhythm is close but not mechanical, and that distinction is everything.
