About this piece
Purple leaf shapes across white cotton — the purple is deep and full, closer to violet than lavender, and the leaf forms give it a grounded, nature-drawn quality. The leaves are placed at angles across the cloth that give the pattern directional movement — it doesn't sit still.
Each leaf was traced in wax before the purple dye went on. The stems and tips carry the most honest lines — drawn quickly and confidently, they taper where the tool lifted naturally. The result is a pattern that looks both structured and alive.
