About this piece
Warm yellow with a triangle border at the hem — the yellow body is bright and open, and the geometric triangle detail at the lower edge gives the night gown a structure that makes it feel more intentional than a plain-dyed piece. The two elements balance each other well.
The triangle border was drawn in wax by hand before the fabric was dyed — each point meeting the next in an unbroken sequence around the hem. The slight variations in spacing and angle are the record of a hand working continuously, and they're what stop the border from reading as mechanical.
