About this piece
Pink tie-dye circles blooming outward across the cloth — each one a burst of deep rose at the centre that radiates into pale pink and then back into white cotton. The circles are scattered across the night gown without a rigid grid, which gives the pattern an easy, spontaneous quality.
The pink concentrates where the fabric was bound tightest — at the very core of each circle. From there it spreads outward through the cotton in rings of decreasing intensity, the colour thinning as the dye reached further from the binding point. No two circles are the same diameter or depth.
