About this piece
Green diamonds in a clean, even grid — the green is forest-deep and reads strongly against the white cotton. Diamond batik in this colour has a rich, almost jewel-like quality, the green catching the light differently in each diamond depending on how the dye settled during the process.
The artisan drew each diamond outline in wax before the green went on — angles that require the same controlled precision every time, hundreds of times across the cloth. The consistency of the spacing and the colour depth across the full piece reflects that sustained care.
