About this piece
Red and white circles in a warm, repeating arrangement — the red leans slightly terracotta, giving it a richness that pure crimson wouldn't have, and the white circles hold their ground cleanly within it. The combination is confident without being harsh.
The wax protected each white circle while the red spread across the rest of the cloth. Some circles are slightly larger, some sit a fraction off-centre in their spacing — the kind of variation that only appears when a hand does the work, and that no two pieces share exactly.
