About this piece

Brown and black circles layered together — earthy, rich, and rooted. The two colours sit close in tone but read distinctly against each other, the black deepening where it borders the brown.

The circles were built in multiple dye passes, with wax applied and removed between them to build up the depth. That layering is what gives the pattern its complexity — more than two colours, even though only two were used.
